Super Cache uses Apache, when possible, to make the things faster. Hyper Cache works on any blog, with apache or not. Hyper Cache caches the redirects too, which is very important to me and the 404 wordpress pages. Redirects and 404 are managed by wordpress nearly as normal pages and if the net is filled with url to your site which produce 404 or redirect a cache can save a lot of resources.
I really don’t know if Super Cache do the same thing.

Hyper Cache, then, has the mobile devices detection, so if you use plugins which change theme when they detect mobile devices, Hyper Cache creates two different page in cache. May be Super Cache does that, I don’t know.

Thank you very much! It always make me crazy to install such software in Linux… cause the packages many time are not so clear when installing java, tomcat and friends…

Sometime update means changes in the cache structure and may be the cache page need to be cleaned up. Don’t worry about that it’s normal to give a reset to the cache from time to time.

Hello,

Thanks for the plugin. Is there any way you could add padding above the “in post” code area? For example, when I put an add within a post, after the read more link, there is no padding between the ad & the text above the ad. There is padding below the ad however. My husband & I both use your plugin..it’s great. Thanks.

May be your file system permissions make impossible for PHP to list the directory content (but permit read and write).

Using Hypercache 2.2.8 with WordPress 2.7.1. I presume it is working since if I access as a common reader and look at the source the last line is
But when I look at the configuration page I get Total cached pages=0

Noticed the Plugin Update, in the WP Dashboard, so I deactivated the plugin and auto updated. After the update I activated the plugin but all cached pages where gone?

Thanks for the nice plugin! I’m using it along with DB Cache…

By the way what is exactly different between by Hyper Cache and WP Super Cache? Are they two plugins doing the same job or do they work differently? Some commentators above have said Super Cache is “faster” than Hyper cache…is that really true?

I have installed the plugin Hyper Cache (works great by the way) and have a configuration question.

My site (about 600 pages) is almost never going to change, maybe 2 or 3 times a month editing some text changes and also I have a (very small) guestbook.

There are no members in my blog I’m the only one that makes changing.

What is de best setting for my situation?

- Expire a cached page after ?? minutes (now 0 minutes)
- Autoclean every ?? minutes (now 0 minutes)

- What cached pages to delete on events ? (now single pages strictly)

Installed the plugin and checked with http://ismyblogworking.com/

Your feed seems slow. It took 4.99 seconds to generate the feed.
Your feed doesn’t support caching (no 304 response).

I just installed the Hyper cache plugin, within the WP plugin page there are 18 ‘Total cached pages (cached redirect is counted too)’

When I use my FTP prog. and got to …/wp-content/hyper-cache the FTP prog tells me “No such file or directory” and I cannot CHMOD?

Also I did read the Question from fahirsch regarding permissions, I have my wp-content at 755 is this ok ?
